Traveling by car is almost a necessity while living in the United States unless you live in a major metropolitan area. Buses, taxis, and Trains are not readily available in most towns in the united states, so learning to drive a car is required to get from point A to point B.  

Back in the day, we used paper maps to plan our route but nowadays, with the help of technology.  We have the assistance of many different global positioning systems otherwise known as GPS.   GPS navigation has become the future of assisting us to not get lost while driving.  

We have previously checked out the top free GPS navigation apps on the market, but now it’s time to jump into some paid options for users who need a bit more features and extra.  

TomTom Go

TomTom Go is available on both iOS and Android and has a reasonable price tag of $1.99 a month which is a fantastic price point for a great paid GPS navigation software.  

This app works both online and offline, allowing you to still use the GPS without having to use data.  This application also allows you to customize your map, so you can make detours during long road trips.  

TomTom Go also gives you real-time traffic information, which is frequently updated so that you can avoid traffic areas such as road construction or closed lanes.  TomTom Go also gives you a great estimated time of arrival and does a fantastic job at displaying what lane you are currently in.  

CoPilot GPS

This app is available on both iOS and Android and even has a free option if basic navigation features are all that you need.  The most interesting feature about this smart map app is that you have the ability to customize your routes based on the type of vehicle you are driving.  

This is a great option for someone who is driving an RV or truck that needs to account for clearance and road width.  CoPilot GPS starts at roughly $14.99 a year for some of the premium features such as voice-guided offline navigation, worldwide maps, traffic updates, and more.  

CoPilot GPS does a great job with showing traffic, as well as lane indicator arrows, and highway signposts to assist in driving safely and changing lanes with ease.  

Sygic

Sygic is our last option, and probably one of the best.  Sygic is free to download with a lot of free features but there is a subscription model that you can pay different prices monthly for extra features and perks.  

Sygic has one of the best user interface systems on the market.  Allowing it to be extremely user-friendly to navigate.  This GPS map app is amazing at alternate routing, so in the event that you do get lost.  This application will do a great job at giving you an alternative option in order to get you to your destination with ease.  

Pro-Tips

Take your time and try out a bunch of different GPS apps before selecting the one that you will use.  There are many great free and paid options available on the market, so it’s always best to experiment to find the best one to suit your needs.
