October is upon us, which means Halloween is right around the corner. Everybody loves to make their house the scariest house on the block, but did you ever consider making your car spooky?

Basically, there are Halloween car decorations that you can put on your vehicle to give people a little scare and a laugh while on the roads!  The best part is, a lot of these decorations can be done by DIY methods with Halloween decorations you would normally use on your house!

Body Part Halloween Car Decorations

Typically during October, most department stores will have a Halloween decorations section, and you can usually find fake body parts like legs or arms.  If you want to really spook someone on the road, put some cloth around the body part, and close it on your car trunk, so that it hangs out from your vehicle.

This will really bring some laughter and freight to the people behind you on the road, it will look like someone’s hand or leg is hanging out the backend of the vehicle.  Spooky!

Red Acrylic Paint for Halloween Car Decorations

If you drive a white car or silver car, a fun family activity would be to use car-safe red acrylic paint to put bloody handprints and write something spooky like “Zombie Destroyer” on your vehicle.

This will make you stand out on the road for a day on the road, perfect for Halloween night.  However, don’t leave the paint on your vehicle for long!

Plastic Halloween Car Decoration Ideas

If you have a plastic skeleton that you usually hang from your house, you can give a good spook by placing the skeleton in the passenger seat of your vehicle.  You will give people on the roadways a good laugh when they see your skeleton sitting next to you.

You can even make it a bit more fun by decorating your skeleton with a shirt, sunglasses, and even a hat.  This will give everyone a frightening laugh!

Halloween Decorations for Car Trunk

If you and your family are participating in a local trunk or treat, you can easily decorate your trunk with some Halloween-themed decorations.  Simply put a blanket around your trunk so that no mess is made.

Then, fill your trunk with spooky Halloween decorations, it can be anything from spiders and cobwebs, to pumpkins and more!  Trunk decorations allow you to have a ton of options at creating an awesome Halloween spot for your trunk or treat event.

Auto Repairs Don’t Have to be Scary

Even though we love Halloween here at DriveSmart, we understand that a lot of people are scared of auto repair bills!  We don’t blame them!  That is why we offer a best-in-class automotive protection plan which covers most auto repairs along with other major benefits including roadside assistance and a maintenance package.
